Description: How do you feel about how you feel? This mini group on Emotions will be working through a book called True Feelings. This book will help “clear away common misconceptions and mixed messages about our feelings to offer us a biblical perspective on emotions&mdashhelping us understand how they work, why we feel what we feel, and how to develop good emotional habits. We will see that we don’t have to ignore, excuse, or follow our feelings, bur can instead learn to honor God with our emotions as integral part of who he us to be.” (from the back cover of True Feelings).
*Note-Participants are required to pick up material before the group begins and complete some work before the first session (material will be made available for pick up at Elisha House approximately one week before group starts). Because each week’s work builds on the one that comes before, it is important that participants are able to commit to attending all six sessions.
Registration Requirements: completed pre-group questionnaire (available here). Participants new to Elisha House are also required to complete a pre-group interview to be arranged by the facilitator.
Homework: there will be an average of 2 hours of homework per week.
If you have further questions, please email or call Valerie at Elisha House (valerie@elishahouse.on.ca / 905-735-9934).
